When it rains....

... it pours... no, it turns to ICE! I woke up this morning to 1/2" of ice coating my driveway. Ack! The entire midwest is getting hit by a heavy ice storm, and I'm just on the edge of it. I received an automated phone call this morning from the college that the campus was closed. Now if only work would call and say we're closed... LOL (no such luck there). Turned on the TV and it seems Father Winter has decided to bless all of us in the country's midsection with the icy stuff. Temps here are hovering around 32-33F just enough to keep it raining, but by noon it's supposed to get colder... and the fun will really begin!

The good thing about this whole mess is that you don't have to go into work. The bad news.... you already know. Sorry you will be scraping ice off your driveway for a while but maybe you can rest and get some stitching done in between.

Should I post this or not. You might kill me....well I do live in GA so I'm probably safe - it's unseasonably warm here. Today's high is like 73 degrees. Is it really December?

Our ice didn't really pan out, but we got a lot of snow/sleet mess. Hope you are able to stitch.

glad that you didnt go to work. We had an ice storm once and all roads were closed and actually no power for a few days.
