SBQ - Starting The New Year Off Right

Are you starting something new to celebrate the New Year or participating in "Guilt Free January?" If so, what are you planning on starting?

I started my new year off by working on Mime, a 15+ year old UFO. I try to keep my stitching as guilt-free as possible by working on whatever I want, whenever I want. Otherwise, for me, it takes all the fun out of it.

Did you receive any stitching-related gifts for the holidays?

Technically, yes. As part of the 12 Days of Christmas exchange I did with my sister and niece, my niece got me a stamped kit with butterflies. Other than that, I didn't get anything stitchy-related.

What was your favorite finish of 2007?

I'd have to say my favorite finish is the Victorian Pansies Scissor Fob.

All my 2007 finishes can be seen HERE.

It was a stitchy-free holiday for me, too. But that was okay, as I don't have to feel guilty about not using someone's gift right away. ;)

You stitched so many nice things in '07, you must've had a hard time choosing just one!! Good choice though!! The purple pansies are beautiful!!!

I tend to stitch on what appeals to me at the moment as well, as feel stitching should be fun and not feel like I'm working on something I "should" be working on.

Your pansy piece was so pretty, love the colors. With all you did it must have been hard to narrow it down to just one.
