Home Finally

Four EKG's, three enzyme tests, one cardiac ultrasound, and one stress test later... I was finally released. Bascially, they don't know what's been causing what I describe as chest "discomfort" I've been experiencing over the past week and half. They do know tests show it's not cardiac related, and as the cardiologist says "Anything else that could be causing it is relatively benign." I'm supposed to follow up with my primary physician in about a week.

I came home and took a nap, since I didn't get much sleep in the hospital. Back to work tomorrow!

Glad to hear you went to the doc. Happy no bad news. Just keep after the docs if it does not clear up.

Glad your home and it is not heart related.... well maybe your discomfort is like mine and it is just gastric reflux.... maybe you should try some tums.

Maybe a magnesium deficiency? My BF went to the hopsital for an angiogram, and all he had was a mag def!! An expensive way to find out!

Hope you are feeling better though!

Meari,
I'm pleased to hear you are OK & at home. I think it's great your family was there and able to make you laugh when you must have been a little stressed. Laughter is the best medicine!
You take care...how about easing up on the home renovations and painting this weekend, sit back and STITCH the weekend away!

Welcome home :) I had something similar happen to me a few years back - turned out to be gallstone attacks.

Glad to see you're home and everything seems ok. I think I would still try to find out what it is. I was reading your post the other day in disbelief that you waited so long! Are you crazy woman? You could have been having a heart attack and doing more damage by the hour! Please don't let it go that long again. And keep trying to find out what it is. I know you can't always trust all info on the web but maybe it will give you some ideas. Mayo clinic is supposed to have a website that is really good. Do some research.
Oh, also, I got the baby girl kit in the mail today. I really wasn't expecting it with all that was going on with you. I think you had more important things to thiink about than going to the post office! But thanks!
Take care & hugs, Elaine

My goodness girl, I missed all of the excitement! Actually, I'm kind-of glad that I did; otherwise, I would have been very anxious for you. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't anything heart-related. I've had two different issues over the years which caused chest pain symptoms, neither of which was heart-related. I've learned to be very careful in how I word it when I call the doctor's office so that they don't go into a panic. LOL. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm glad to hear that you're home and it doesn't seem to be heart-related. Hope your own physician can find out what's wrong.
