Finally Finished!

After 4 days of sanding, primering, and painting... The bathroom cabinets and trim are done!

This isn't the bathroom door, but it *is* what the trim looked like before I painted. Whoever stained the hardwood floors, got stain on ALL the door trim.... and it looks horrible.

This is just one small glimpse of the gold and yellow "polka-dots" I mentioned in my last post. Just imagine these all around the perimeter of the door. Lovely, isn't it?

These are the hinges I set out to replace. Nasty!

Here are some "after" shots:

Now all I need to do is clean the bathroom and I'm good to go!! Anyone want to clean my bathroom???

Meari,
What a difference some primer and paint can make!!
Now, I do feel guilty on getting to my marble re-caulk job!! Thanks for the instructions!! I should be able to handle this!! At least, it will not be duct taped or bungee corded on like some un-named, "A$$", would surely do!!
You once again truly amaze me!!
Love and Hugs!!
Deborah
and
Miprezious, too

All the improvements look great. I seriously don't remember it looking that bad though..... how's JG coming along this week? I have tried doing 100 stitches per day in my HAED. I have about 900 done.....yeah!!!

The new and improved looks great! I seriously don't remember it looking that bad though.... how's JG going this week? I have been putting in 100 stitches a day on my HAED. I have over 900 done so far! Getting a foot of snow yesterday and today. Carl had the snowblower out 3 times already, hope you aren't getting dumped on too!

So easy to use masking tape, so annoying to have to redo someone's sloppy work. Looks lovely, Meari! Have you had enough of the snow yet? I've got a lot of stitching and sorting done!

Way to go, girl! How many coats did it take to cover the stain marks? Our floor guys had a new guy staining our stair treads and he slopped the stain all over the newly-painted risers, which infuriated the paint guy and took three coats to cover. Your bathroom is looking like a great retreat. Happy Dancing!

Wonderful work on the bathroom. But cleaning, no, I don't think so. But thank you for asking! LOL

You go, Meari! When and if I ever buy a house and need some work done, you're hired!

Great job, Meari!! I've been toying with the idea of painting my kitchen cabinets...there's nothing really wrong with them now, but I am still toying with the idea...I'm nuts, yes?

Great job! Beats paying someone to do that and it is done to your satisifaction too. Before long you will have everything done you want to finish.

Looks great and seriously, how hard is it to tape off the area so you don't get stain on it?

Wow no, I don't want to clean your bathroom, but how about you doing some painting at my house? LOL

you are doing a wonderful job! U are actually inspiring me to maybe start on some of the remodeling work done on my own house.. we weren't going to do any of that cosmetic type stuff b/c we were going to move, but since it seems we will be here a while, then I may go ahead and do some..

Sorry no takers on the bathroom - perhaps I can find someone to do mine .. that I have been avoiding like the plague.

love the snowflakes - I did one into a biscornu.
