HEARTFELT THANKS
With the start of this new week and MM update, I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks for the friendship and support of my online friends. And thank you for being there... supporting me in my good times, and bad.

KREATIV BLOGGER AWARD!
I been awarded as a Kreativ Blogger! Woo Hoo! Lucy over at Folk-n-Fancy passed this on to me. See what she had to say HERE. She's such a sweetie! Not only that, she's a very creative crafter :)

Seven things I love, not necessarily in this order:

1. Nature
2. Photography
3. Animals
4. Crafting
5. Computer Technology
6. Friends
7. Family

Seven bloggers who are deserving of this award:

1. Courtney - All Stitched Together
2. Shari - Shari's Sharings
3. Cindy - Cindy Mae's Stitching Corner
4. Kendra - The Stitching Hour
5. Ranae - Stitch by Stitch
6. Christine - Straight Talk From The Lazy W Ranch
7. Kristin - Dragondreamer's Lair

I always have such a difficult time choosing who to award since there are so many awesome, "kreativ" bloggers!

STITCHY STUFF
I'm still spending my time stitching for a "secret" exchange, so I can't show pics yet. Bummer, eh?

COUGH-COUGH-COUGH
Yep, my barking cough is still with me... going on the 4th week now. Several coworkers have continuously told me how "bad" I sound. JT encouraged me to go back to the doctor again, which I did yesterday. Apparently, I have several things going on. The cough is mostly exacerbated by my asthma, but brought on by my being sick (4 weeks ago) plus allergies. How's that for a diagnosis?!? I was given my first ever breathing treatment in the doctor's office which immediately allowed my lungs to open up and the cough to be more productive. I've also been given drugs to reduce inflammation in my lungs, and an antibiotic in case the "junk" in my lungs caused a bacterial infection (due to my having the cough for so long). Add to those, the RX Robitussin CA and allergy drugs the other doctor gave me a week or so ago. And I was sooooooo enjoying not being sick since my tonsilectomy almost 2 years ago. LOL

WEATHER
It's soooooo HOT and HUMID here in the midwest. We've been on a heat advisory since yesterday. Temps have been in the upper 80's. With the heat index, it feels like 100F. Forecasters are predicting storms again in the next day or so, but no relief from the heat.

Today, my car's thermometer said...

... and the heat index is 106!

I broke down and turned on my CA a couple days ago. I don't mind heat, but the humidity makes it hard to breathe! Wasn't I just complaining how COLD it was not too long ago???

Yeah, I'm the first to comment....I was wondering if I missed Monday since I didn't think I saw an update from you!! LOL Glad you went back to the Dr. and got some drugs to get you over the cough. They can be VERY irritating! I took *progress* photos of my hanging baskets too (I copied you)It's hard to believe they grow that fast! Yours look great. I am NOT complaining about the heat this year....going to be at the Tigers 1pm game on Thursday...in the sun and drinking Hurricanes!

That is so sucky that your cough is still there! Here's hoping it goes again soon.

Your flowers are so lovely! I have one measly hanging basket... and it's not doing well. Perhaps I am just not made for flowers.
At least I get to see your pretty ones!

Hope you feel better son Meari! We miss seeing your updates with stitching but it sounds like someone is going to be surprised! :) Take care.

Sorry to hear you are still sick! Maybe the current dose of meds with knock it out of you. Your flowers look awesome. Try and stay cool..we are suffering the midwest heat and humidity here in St. Louis as well...I HATE IT!

Your planters are so bright and colorful. Hope that the heat gives you a break soon. We've had a heat advisory for about a week until the cool front hit yesterday and brought in the storms. It's now a mere hot 89 degrees instead of ten degrees hotter with HI of over 100. Whew!

Hope that with all the meds and breathing treatment your cough finally bites the dust soon. I'm telling ya', you just need to come down and park your bottom on the beach here and let the sun bake it out of you. You can bake for a few hours each day and when the storms hit you can relax and come back out when they are over. LOL

Your baskets and planters are so beautiful! I hate to admit it but mine are tthere with nothing in them but dirt and dead plants from last year. I never got around to buying any plants for them this spring.

We are hot and humid here too. But I have to say that I don't mind it a bit. Much better than being cold!

Glad you went to the Dr. Hope the new meds kick in and you feel better soon!

Your flowers are looking very good and I'm sure they really like that humid, hot weather.

My Grammas recipe for getting rid of cough: take a glass of very hot milk, add 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 clove of garlic (chopped very fine). Drink 2-3 times a day. And really doesn't taste bad at all.

Your flowers are lovely. I only have greenery on my patio (I'm not very green-thumbed). Sorry you've still got your cough, but glad you went back to the doc & hope you get well ASAP!!! As for the heat, it's 100 right now (at 2:30pm) and has been staying at that temp for the past week. I call it the season of hell in Texas. LOL An elderly man in Houston died because of no a/c. It's very dangerous to be without some way of cooling down. Take care!

Yes, it has been really warm and I work outside everyday.
Yesterday, I checked while working and it was 84 feels like 88. The guys were not happy when I told them that. I thought it was good news because I thought it felt like 94. Today when I chekced it said 94 feels like 97.

lovely flowers!

I am now getting back in the swing of things...don't ask why it took so long. somedays just are not worth getting out of bed for. I have never heard a cough described as "more productive" i loved it!! I am so going to use that in my future.

if you still aren't better, take more drugs. you prolly won't get better, but you won't care either :)
