Marvelous Monday Update 12/14/09

JAPANESE FUROSHIKI
A cool way to wrap gifts!

STITCHY STUFF
Karen sent Celeste and me a cute little Christmas package. Celeste loves her little treats. Thanks for thinking of me, Karen!

I stitched on 3 different projects last week... Imagine that!

Simply Elegant Scissor Case

Flower & Bee

NEW!
Gingerbread House

WEATHER
Just thought I'd share a few pics after the storm we had last week....

A few days after the snowstorm, it became bitterly cold. Snowpiles became really frozen in place and I had ice "piles" (for lack of better term) at the end of my driveway. It warmed up... if you call 25-33F "warm"... and a little bit of snow melted. Now it's bitterly cold again. That wind is quite biting on the 'ole face. There is still plenty of snow to go around, if anyone is interested!

Snow is so pretty when you don't have to shovel or drive in it.

Wow! Can't get over all the snow!

You've certainly been busy with your stitching!

Nice little Christmas package. :-)

Thanks for sharing the cool Japanese recycle gift wrapping video. Very neat ideas!

Wow that snow is so pretty - though I don't like it when it happens, it's so troublesome! Love the stitching - it's all so delicate

Isn't the snow gorgeous when you're looking at it, but not out in it?
Your stitching looks lovely~

Wow, the snow is so beautiful, but I'm sure when you're shoveling your driveway, "pretty" is not what you're thinking!
Wow, Alan Jackson's song "Where Were You" just played. I'd forgotten about this song - how moving once again to hear it.

Wow, those are some incredible pics. Looks like Canada to me. ;)
We are finally getting some warm weather, hope it's coming your way too.

The snow was bad for you but the photos are WONDERFUL. We just dont have snow like that here, its usually gone within a couple of days much to my boys disgust!

Meari...that gift wrapping piece is brilliant!

The scissor case looks so delicate - a hint of spring perhaps!

I love fresh fallen snow...wanna trade for out bitter temperatures?

Thank you for sharing that gift wrapping idea. The stitching stuff is wonderful.
And thank you for sharing your snow pics. We don't get that kind of snow in Central Texas and it certainly doesn't last that long. Nice to look at in PICTURES!

You did get hit with the snow. We didn't get that much, and most melted back off. However, it's been snowing again most of today and since is only around 18 (not considering wind chill) it's sticking. Love your projects, especially Gingerbread House, that's looking so cute.

Lovely stitching and great job getting time in on three projects!

Love the snow pictures. It's been bitter cold here but no snow. I'd love some if I didn't have to drive in it!

Glad to see your stitching updates! The snow is very pretty when you took the photos....but living with it, I know the *beauty* goes away fast and you get the dirty stuff. Funny how we don't have any in our grass! Well maybe not funny to you! It's been cold, but we missed all the lake effect crap, all going north!

Beautiful snow pictures, but so glad it is not here. LOL! Nice stitching.

Snow is beautiful, at least it is to me! lol I'm sure you would think so too if you didn't have to shovel it out for hours on end.

Very nice stitching starts!

Don't know how you found the time to stitch with all that snow to be moved off the driveway. At least you're getting a good workout right?!?! ;)

Your stitching is as beautiful as ever. Love the snowy picks, wish I could be there, to visit. Not sure I want to live with the ice, snow yes, ice, not too sure about that one.

Just to make you feel worse...we don't have much snow at all :) I am really loving the house (looks light blue in the pic) you took a photo of. how beautiful.
Your stitching is all so pretty. I have actually been stitching, but due to camera problems, have not "reported" my progress. :(
