Marvelous Monday Update 12/21/09 - Part Two

WEATHER
We had another light dusting of snow last night. Tonight, forecasters are calling for 4-6". Tomorrow afternoon, we get to be the lucky recipients of freezing rain! We can look forward to 1/3 to 1/2" of ice on the roads. Another big storm headed due to hit on Christmas. Oh what fun, fun, fun.... The best part of it all, today is the shortest day of the year. From here on out, the days will be getting longer. Woo Hoo! (Is it spring yet?)

STITCHY STUFF
In today's mail, I received an ornament from Mel. What's weird is that I sent mine to her a week before she sent mine, and she hasn't received it yet. I'm a bit worried. :( Look at this adorable ornament she stitched up for me:

She also sent some goodies along. I really liked the fairy card :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I want to wish all my online friends a very Merry Christmas. I appreciate all your friendships and support over this past year. It has meant a lot to me.

I have heard we are to get yucky weather over this way too. Might hinder holiday travels, because I sure don't want to risk lifes just to get out on the roads!
Your ornament exchange looks great!
Merry Christmas to yoU!

Not sure where in the midwest you are Meari but here in Nebraska we are supposed to get it starting tomorrow night also. The in-laws are supposed to come on Christmas Eve but I don't think they will make it if this storm is as bad as they say. I keep saying it gonna be bad in the hopes that it misses us entirely and yes, is it spring yet???

BOO HISS, on the freezing rain, it is nasty and I hope you don't get any at all. That is a cute ornament you got and I like all the goodies too.

Love the ornament...she did a great job on it.

Hope you can keep safe and warm with the upcoming storms, this would be a good time for you to come visit and enjoy our 60+ degree weather.

Keep it over there!!! I haven't seen the news in days and don't know what our forecast is. I only have to travel one hour on Saturday, the rest is here in town!

Merry Christmas to you too! Congrats on a lovely ornament and goodies and cards. And on the bright site, for sure you will have a white Christmas. Would it make you feel a little better if I told you that I didn't go to work today because it was so cold that I was scared to start the car? It was over 30 below zero...

Yes, I love today. I love today because from this day forward until mid summer, the days get longer, not shorter.
While I don't mind (I really do, but let's pretend) cold weather for a little while, the dark days and even darker nights get to me.
I love all the stitchy stuff. Merry Christmas to you and thank you for your friendship this past year!

Love the ornament and goodies you received!

Hope that nasty weather skips right by you all this week/weekend. No one needs to attempt to travel in that yucky stuff. We're not going anywhere so just send that down to us as we'll be snug in our house with a pot of chili on for the day. lol

Merry Christmas! I have been a bad girl and didn't send my cards out until yesterday so your should be to you by New Year's lol.

I am crossing my fingers that that system comes as rain. After our storm, I can't handle more snow.

Merry Christmas!

Don't worry the sled dogs will bring me your ornament. ;) (they are just cold and tired I'm sure)

More bad weather for you? wow, this has been a brutal season worldwide so far. :(

Do hope you stay warm and safe!

Well after my 25 inches of snow Sat./Sunday I've had enough. No more now until next winter. I wish. Sigh. :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Stay warm.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas too Meari. I love that ornament that you have received. Luckily our snow is rapidly melting; it is pouring with rain at the moment. I hope that the forecast is right and temperatures will remain above zero - it will be dreadful if all this surface water freezes!

What a beautiful ornament that you gave and received! How fun. I hope you survive the weather. Ours has been rather dull :)
