Marvelous Monday Update 12/7/09

PIF's
My final two PIF's have gone out into the mail to Sharmila and Mary. Mary has already contacted me that she received hers. Sharmila lives in India so she should be receiving it shortly. This wraps up my PIF obligations. :)

STITCHY STUFF
With all the "chaos" going on in my life lately, I didn't get a chance to sign up for any ornament exchanges on my groups. I was really bummed about it, as I have always done at least one each year since joining the online stitching community. Mel was kind enough to do a private exchange with me. It worked out perfectly. I can't show the entire thing since I want it to be a surprise for Mel, but here's a teaser pic:

I received my Humbug package from Monique in the Netherlands. She sent me *two* humbugs -- a small one and a large one! One was Quaker themed with really pretty colors, and the other was Christmas themed. She included other goodies as well.

Thank you, Monique!

Lisa in Canada finally received the Advent Exchange I sent last week. Just in time... on December 1st! Coincidentally, my package from Cyndi in CA arrived on December 1st, too. :)

GIVEAWAY
Jennifer of Feathers in the Nest is hosting an awesome giveaway. Click on over to her blog to check it out.

TIS THE SEASON!
I set up one of my little Christmas trees, and hung all my stitched ornaments on it. Then I put all my Advent Exchange presents underneath. I think it looks great!

I've sent out two batches of Christmas cards last week, and am working on a third one. I've gone through my planner... sent to family/friends, sent to those in a card exchange I'm involved with, and went through my Yahoo address book to send to online friends whom I have addresses for. I'd like to express my gratitude for the friendships I've made with each of you!

Love your little tree, I'm doing a little tree too and will be up all year and be decorated like my seasonal shelf.

Love the ornament teaser. How did you do the ribbon on the edge.

Ohh... I cannot WAIT to see the rest of that beautiful ornament Meari!
I ran into a bit of a hitch with yours... we got snowed in so I have to get the finishing stuff and get her done. But it's hard to get anywhere when you're car is stuck!

Love your ornament tree!

The cording on the ornament you made looks really pretty, can't wait to see it all. The exchange you received are very nice, I really like the little one is it a keychain? Your tree looks great. Enjoy the season. Have they cut your hours already or is it the first of the year?

Your tree is so pretty - love this idea and your exchange gifts underneath! May I ask what you used for the edging on your ornie - I can't quite make it out, but I love it!

Can't wait to see your stitched piece for the exchange.

Sounds like you have a busy girl! I'm afraid cards are not happening in my house this year unless a miracle occurs and they mysteriously appear already stamped and addressed on my kitchen table some morning!

Pretty tree!

Meari your tree looks great and your gifts too. You are one of a kind and very pleased to have you as a fellow stitcher in my life. Thank you for making me laugh and giving me all day smiles.

Nice christmas tree, Meari! Every blog i see, is so festive - it is like celebrating christmas myself!

It typically takes over 10 days for international parcels to reach me. Waiting for the lucky day!

Your little tree with the stitched things looks great and all the things under it look pretty tempting too! Looks like your ornie will be a hit since you already have people asking about the edging. I received my card! Thanks! I still don't know if I'm doing any this year. I'll have to see how ambitious I feel in a few days.
