On This Eve...

I would like to wish all my blogging friends....

I received word the Christmas mailart I made for Anne finally arrived.  She was extremely thrilled with it.

Design: Star Bright Giraffe
Book: 100 Cross-Stitch Ornaments by Carol Siegel
Fabric: 18ct Red Aida
Fibers: DMC, Kreinik Blending Filament
Embellishments: Mill Hill Beads

Design: Penguin Pair
Book: 100 Cross-Stitch Ornaments
Embellishments: White/Gold Flecked Ric Rac,
Gold Glitter Star Button, Snowflake Buttons

It was really fun to create this mailart.  Thanks again, Anne, for doing this exchange with me. :)

Just a note about the penguins... I changed the colors of the hat and scarf to match the ribbon around the giraffe's neck so that they coordinated.

Very pretty! I never though of doing mail art - always though the post office would ruin it when it goes through their machines. But it looks like it made it beautifully!

Very nicely done, Mearu=i. If you design enough of these, you can pubish them yourself! How cool would that be? Happy New Year!

Looks like your frigid weather is heading toward central Ohio - I just looked and we have some snow coming with -10 wind chill tomorrow and -5 on Thursday - brrrrr - but ya know what - that's ok - March is just around the corner!!

Wishing you the best for this new year!

Love the mail art pieces, they're gorgeous. My favorite was the penguins, so cute. Enjoyed seeing the Christmas photos too, glad you could get the camera working. The little ornament with the pup did look like Celeste. Your earlier post of goodies was fun too in that I received a fun little blue snail tape measure just like the one you got, it's so sweet and sits on my end table (when the kitten hasn't stolen it to bat around, LOL). Have a wonderful new year, Sue
