Marvelous Monday Update 4/8/13

Marvelous Monday... maybe, if I had gotten enough sleep last night. I don't know why, but I just couldn't get to sleep! I read, tried to count backwards (usually a sure thing), and even got up to watch a movie with the sound wayyy down low. I finally went back to bed around 1:30am. The alarm goes off at 5am. Ugh!

STITCHY STUFF
I finished all the details in Yuku's hair as well as the upper part of the kimono collar... lots of backstitching and French knots. While working on her, I kept up with decades of tradition by watching the Peanuts Easter "specials" and caught the Fat Albert Easter special as well. Hey, hey, hey!

Last week, I had stopped at a consignment shop and picked up a Patriotic chart and frame for $4. Turns out the chart sells for $6 and the frame is a special order for $20. What a great deal!

Welcome To My Home is coming right along. It's the project I work on during my lunch hour. Here's what it looked like before:

Here it is with a bit more progress:

I've even worked on Japanese Garden. I am almost at the 1/2 point! Here's what it looked like before:

And now:

  10. Your stitching looks great! You've made LOTS of progress on JG! I often have trouble sleeping. I've found that having white noise on and the bedroom completely dark works the best for me.

  14. Your making great progress on those projects and they are looking awesome!

Someone told me once that if you have trouble falling asleep to lay in bed and try to stay awake. Works for me every time. We had some really strong storms roll through last night and the thunder and lightening were really loud and bright.

I can't sleep either buyt it goes something like this: "I wish I could sleep.... but my silly A.D.D. kicks in and.... one sheep, two sheep, cow, turtle, duck, Old McDonald had a farm... HEEEY Macarena!" (saw it on an ecard and said that's totally based on me! lol)
