Marvelous Monday Update 10/11/10

WEATHER
The weather this past week has been absolutely gorgeous. Temps in the mid to upper 80's and leaves changing colors. The landscape has been stunning!

STITCHY STUFF
After working 52 hours last week between both jobs, I didn't get much stitching done. Here's my progress on TMQ:

The "peanut gallery" at ILCS prodded me into getting out JG and working on it. After 1 3/4 hours, the only progress I made is the arched branches above the 12 o'clock rock garden.

GIVEAWAY
Alyssa at My Stitching Corner is hosting a Halloween giveaway. Go check out the cute chart she stitched up.

  3. Some progress is better than no progress at all. Keep it up, and you'll be done b-4 you know it.

  4. Hi Meari,
It looks like you are making some progress even with your busy work schedule. Both pieces are beautiful.

  5. Meari, it sounds like your jobs are really stressful! I hope the couple of hours of stitching brought you some relaxation. Your projects are looking really nice!

  6. Wow, two jobs and that number of hours a week! It is a wonder you can walk at the end of the day let alone stitch.
But, oh, what beautiful pieces you are stitching. Nice work.

  7. Yeah, Meari! Almost 2 hours on JG -- that's terrific! Sorry about the trouble you had at both jobs today. Could the problem with the DD be the holiday today?

  9. I hope you get more stitching time this week, Meari! I hope you are paid by the hour for your jobs?

Both pieces are coming along nicely--it always amazes me just how little is achieved in 2 hours some times. That is what makes our stitching such a labor of love...

  11. The weather here has been nice as well, but back to fall now here, which is ok too. I know how you feel most days I would rather just sit and stitch and do nothing else, but getting some time in is better than nothing as well.

  12. Yeah JG got some air.....I think it was choking being packed away!!! It's 2 hours well spent! I do the auto debit stuff at work and sometimes I'm at the final step and it doesn't go through...so frustrating!!!

  13. Always enjoy reading your blog, Meari! I love doing payroll (yes, I know I'm crazy), but your payroll issues would have driven me to tears.

Good thing we have stitching for distracting us!

  18. JG is so pretty; so is TMQ - even a little stitching is progress! Hope this weather continues - we've been fairly hot, but it's going back down this week.

  19. Lovely progress on both pieces. Yes, the weather has been gorgeous. Not as warm as where you are thank goodness but perfect fall weather. :) Rain is expected tomorrow but should be gone by the weekend.

  22. JG is going to be so pretty when it's finished! I am so behind on reading blogs. Yours is one that I really miss reading. I read down through the 10/4 post. I'm hoping to find time to read more soon. I also have the Jammer cases for my DMC. Mine didn't fit all in one either and I only had 1 of each in there. I love how you stored your Kreinik! I don't have as many as you but might steal that idea. :) Since Jerry doesn't hunt he'll be wondering why I'm buying a shell case. :) Btw, this is where I got the wedding piece I stitched. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=K023-0582 It's a kit. I used the floss in it (Going by the numbers, I think it's DMC) but swapped out the fabric. The fabric would have never been close to big enough for the frame I used. Have a good weekend! I'm glad it cooled off cause it was too hot for painting last week. :p

  23. Don't tire yourself out too much at work. I can't imagine having 2 jobs but make sure you take care of yourself and Celeste too.

Your stitching looks fabulous! Remember, every stitch counts...
