Here we are in the last quarter of the Stitch From Stash challenge coordinated by Mel at Epic Stitching. The idea of SFS is to stitch from our stash to reduce spending.
I did even worse this month than I did in September. I spent $73 on a boat load of Sampler and Antique Needlework magazines and one UK Cross Stitch Crazy as well as several charts. Even though there are some charts in the Sampler magazines, I really got them for the articles.
Whew! I was a naughty girl...
New Starts from Stash: Midnight Watch
WIPs or UFOs worked on: Balloon Glow, Heart of America
Finishes: Heart of America
Until next time,
Those are some great magazines and charts! I didn't realize you liked samplers and antique needlework so much. I have that L*K chart also, but haven't started it yet.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely stash Meari
ReplyDeleteStash stash yummy stash!! And HAED is having another sale ......and so is Everything Cross Stitch on their samplers :) I've been eying the Sampler & Antique Needlework mags for a while and considering getting the digital versions! Are they good?

Love the new stash!
ReplyDeleteAfter all the stress you've been under that's a small amount,LOL!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new stash.
I wouldn't feel bad about allowing yourself to go on a spending spree of stash...I can think of a lot worse things people buy...
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot of nice things!
You deserve to treat yourself to some great stash, Meari, after all you've been through... Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat stash, sometimes you just need to take advantage of sales and things, who knows when they might be available again. Love the LK piece Be Who You Are, LK is the designer of the one I just finished Promise Me. The sayings she's picked to chart are so appropriate. Have fun with your new stash, and am looking forward to your next update of Midnight Watch.
ReplyDeleteNaughty indeed! Lovely stash enhancements. I've done great with SFS and do believe that I have saved hundreds of dollars!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous charts and I am sure you will enjoy reading your Playboy equivalents...lol.
