SCHOOL
I'm at the halfway point. This is Week 4. Last week's quiz was just as disappointing as the previous ones. Ya have to be somewhat intuitive to figure out *exactly* what the instructor is looking for as an answer. Case in point: Comparison of 2 pieces of equipment depreciated over 5 years MA200. Question? What's the depreciation? Well, ummm... do you want Year 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5? I listed them all as well as a total. Two questions were like that! Since it's a timed online test, it's not like you can raise your hand and say, "Hey teacher what do you mean?". *Ugh* I really need to get a move on with my written term paper... *Ugh* again.
RAK'd!
I am sure I had the oddest look on my face as I walked out of the post office on Friday. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why I received a package from Shelley at Shelley's Artsy Fartsy Life. I opened it to find the
C-U-T-E-S-T pair of froggy socks and a package of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans (Yummo!).
I wear thicker socks in the winter because my hardwood floors are cold, and regular socks don't keep my feet warm. I love the froggies! I ate the candy while studying. It didn't last long, LOL.
STITCHY STUFF
Again, hardly any stitching done this week. I feel so pathetic in that the only time I get to stitch is when I'm talking on the phone. Here's what Blossom Splendor looks like:
Nice RAK, Love the socks! Fingers crossed that the storm misses you completely!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute socks! And I can't wait to see the finished result on Blossom Splendor. Oh and if you think the snow storm is bad I have an Ice storm that is coming in tonight and when we get ice storms part of Indiana goes without electricity for a while sooo I will trade ya lol give me the snow storm any day lol
ReplyDeleteLovely Rak, the socks are just so cute!
ReplyDeleteBlossom Splendour is looking lovely, just love the colours.
I love the snow but guess I'm lucky we don't get them like you do lol.
At least you're stitching when you can! Soon you'll be done with this class - hope the quizzes become a little more sensible. Love the gift! Good luck with the blizzard!
ReplyDeleteIt may only be a little progress, but it's another step closer all the same, and it's going to look gorgeous when it's done.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can get Cherry Jelly Bellys dipped in chocolate? How have I never heard of these wonderful things and, more importantly, where do they come from?
Love those adorable socks!
ReplyDeleteHope the storm doesn't dump as much on you as they are predicting. Sounds like school is such fun right now....NOT! At least you are half way done with this class. It could be worse; you could be just starting. lol
Hope you have a great week!
How fitting to get froggy socks! They are so cute too.
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking about you cleaning your driveway while I'm out shoveling all my parking areas and sidewalk. They are saying our winds are going to be 50 miles per hour and that this storm will be bigger than the one that hit in 1967 (which I can honestly say I don't remember).
Meari
ReplyDeleteLovely RAK :)
and your stitching is coming lovely
Tinna
I went grocery shopping and filled my tank with gas this afternoon. If we get the 4" tonight we're supposed to get first, I won't be going to work in the morning. Country roads are not fun in snow and then we're supposed to get a total of almost 2 ft?? Blossom Splendor looks like it's going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI drooled at all the stash enhancement you received. You must be one special lady judging by all those wonderful things.
ReplyDeleteI was scrolling down and then came to the reindeer. I went from a lovely smile through all the pics and then went "Ooooooh". Can you point me in the right direction to obtain that pattern? That is the most lovely recumbent deer I have seen. Is it from HOE?
Oh by the way, those clams looked just fabulous! Any particular brand name???? I love clams and mussels. Shrimp is in there too if it is unbreaded. MMMMmmmm, Doggone it, I just combined breakfast and lunch and dinner is a few hours away. Ah well, have hamburger, cabbage and onions. Can't get much better in the combo than that. Will see if Hubby wants anything special for dinner, otherwise, am going to add Hunt's Traditional Spaghetti sauce and some Karo syrup and put those in the crockpot. Oh, wait, we had that two days ago, well it is hamburger soup then, have to get some stewed tomatoes for it, but then have to go to town anyway to mail the phone bills.
Still would love to know the publisher of that marvelous deer, please.
Huggs, Cait
Those socks are cute, and I want that candy. Jellie Bellys and chocolate what could be better.
ReplyDeleteMeari,
ReplyDeleteYou keep safe in all that snow. What an adorable RAK you received. You are getting more stitching done than me. I just can't seem to sit down and get going. I am losing my stitching muse.
For being such a busy woman, you make wonderful stitching progress. I have never thought of stitching while on the phone...I would hate to see how many frogs come visiting! You must use a headset. Whatever works for you!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute socks! Love the stitching!
ReplyDeleteSorry the instructor is being so Your stitching looks great as usual. Hopefully you will have more oportunity soon.
ReplyDeleteHeidi-ILCS
I am sure you did okay on your test. Hope you do not get too much snow, we are expecting a snow storm on Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteLove the goodies you got from Shelley's blog....I like to visit it too. Enjoy those adorable socks & no frogging.....yummy treats too.
ReplyDeleteWe got a blizzard & son had snow days too. Two of them. City still has to remove snow. Country roads are ideal where we live.
Up to 6 finishes & started Cherished Teddy....Ebearnezer bear in Packer green & gold (tangerine).
Stay warm. Hope school & work goes well. So many blogs....try to visit when I can.
Congrats on the warm socks...we got about 12" of the white stuff. My friend just left this morning for Rockford....daughter being induced as I type. But with my Dad the way things are...I am not leaving the area for awhile.
