I finished stitching this piece back in January of 2014.
Since I decided to stay inside last weekend, it gave me time to not only frame Three Little Words, but Thinking Positive also. I found a great looking frame at a thrift store a while ago.

Beautiful frames - what a great job!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the perfect frame for that piece. Beautiful choice of fabric and floss too. I was just looking at the chart recently to see if I wanted to stitch it up. I love it, but I'm not sure I have a place to display it. I would probably go for a bell pull/banner finish.
ReplyDeleteI like this..
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the framing of this piece. I really like the frame you used for it. Have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteYour finished finishes look great, Meari. I love that you were able to reuse the frame your dad made you. The homestead looks good.

Great job on the stitching and framing. It is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Meari! The silver gray frame is a perfect match for that piece. I might not have mentioned it before, but I'm so glad you found a use for the other "frame with a history." Too often those items that seem to hold only sentimental value get toss by the wayside. It's nice to see an occasional piece being given a new life.

ReplyDeleteOooh good job re-purposing a thrifty find, it's amazing how well the stitched piece fits in it! Do you carry a list of finished pieces/sizes with you so you can pick out frames in the thrift stores? :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic framing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou always find such great things in your local thrift shops, Meari, and this frame is perfect for this piece. Great eye you have!!
ReplyDeleteMeari,
ReplyDeleteI just had time to catch up on your few latest posts. Your house looks so much better without the overhang. I hope that the hostas and sedum will recover soon.
Thinking Positive looks awesome all framed.
