Weather
First, it’s snow. Now it’s arctic air. Winds swept in Saturday night and brought with it -30F to -40F windchill temps. Brrrr! This afternoon, forecasters are calling for another 2-5” of snow.
Stitchy Stuff
I finished the border for my snowman RR and actually started stitching the snowman! No WIP pics yet, though.
Date Night
4:10pm – I’m in the middle of getting ready for my date. I hear my cell phone beeping. Did I miss a call? I saw that it was from T and half expected he was calling to say he would be running late, or to cancel completely because of the temps. No... He called to tell me he was leaving home right then and that he’d be at my house ½ hour early. ACK! I was only half ready and I scrambled to be ready by the time he got there. He was dressed very nice and looked quite yummy. :) He proceeds to tell me he knew we had to be somewhere at a certain time so he didn’t answer the phone or let anyone distract him. LOL Alrightly then. (cute)
T and I went to dinner and then a play on Saturday night. I’d planned on paying for the evening out since he’s paid for all the other dates up to this point. However, when I grabbed for the dinner bill, he snatched it out of my hand. Since I reserved the play tickets, I did pay for those. We saw “A Shot in the Dark”. Having been to several plays at the local theatre, I recognized some of the actors/actresses from other productions.
Celebration for Lovers?
Valentine’s Day is coming up and I was at a quandary as to what to do. It’s always a tricky situation when you’re dating. T and I have been on 9-10 dates and I wanted to do something nice for VD, but not get all mushy or scare the bajeezus outta him. Men get weird over these things. So I opted for a “friendly” (not mushy) thinking of you type of card for VD. More than likely, I won’t be seeing him again for at least a week if not longer. Didn’t want to give him the card early… because I didn’t want to make him feel obligated to reciprocate. What to do? What to do? When we were in the car after the play, I pretended I was having problems getting the play book in my purse which was sitting on the floor next to my feet. Actually, I was… but that’s beside the point. LOL In the pocket where I was trying to get the play book was the card. Insert book, take out card… and slide under passenger seat. On VD, I’ll send him a message to look under the seat. That’s a pretty low-key “something” for Valentine’s Day, don’t you think?
Working Out
I’m pretty proud of myself. There were a few days when I got off work where I was so tired and didn’t feel like doing my aerobic routine. Guess what? I did it anyway. I’m getting to the point where I can anticipate the moves from the workout DVD and am better at following it, which means I can get a better workout. I’ve started on some different strength training exercises, too.

love reading your blog Meari Happy Valentine's Day
Another interest read. You can complain about the snow and cold now and listen to me complain about the heat this summer.
Love your idea for giving T the card....very tricky of you.
I love what you did with the v-day card! That is sooo sweet!
Have a great week!
Great trick with the card! It's been a long time, but I do remember those awkward times and I wouldn't have been that clever. I can relate to the temps! Yesterday we couldn't see across the street it was blowing snow so hard. I do get a reprieve though.....Savannah for 3 days! Sorry, don't want to rub it in, but I am outta here!!
Looking yummy? are men food? lol I love the idea for VD ;-) It's a great way to say: "I'm thinking of you on that day "
By the way, you got an award on my blog ;-) Love your blog girl ;-)
it's freezing here too..I hate it!
Cute surprise for VDay!
Meari, sounds like you T are having fun-very nice! I think that was a wonderful idea with the card.
It's warm enough here to sit with the back door open (at least for a few minutes). :D
Your Valentine's quandry of how to deliver the card with the right sort of "tone" is really funny!
