GIVEAWAYS

Ruth is hosting a birthday giveaway on her blog, Ruth's Running Stitch. Click on over and wish her a Happy Birthday!

Sharon of Crescent Colours is celebrating her birthday also. She's got such a pretty blog. Go over and check it out.

WEATHER
Ugh! We had SNOW yesterday. Temps are about 20 degrees colder than they're supposed to be at this time of year. The upside? We've had rain, too... and the grass is green. So warmer weather has to come, right? Right!

STITCHY STUFF
I spent all of last week working on my mailart piece. Can't show pics yet, but I really like it. I'm thinking about doing another one for my Mom for Mother's Day. I've chosen an Asian theme, and have most of the front of the envelope done. Just have to stitch the recipient's name on it, then I can start the back. Sorry, no pics until it wings its way to its new home.

No work on JG or Blossom Splendor.

SCHOOL
School seems to be dragging on this semester. Last semster, I took Corporate Finance. This semester I'm taking Investments. I am a bit ticked off peturbed that I've spent almost $700 in tuition only to have this instructor give the exact same term paper assignment and for the last two weeks has been posting the exact same online discussion questions as last semester. Two different classes, same questions! I don't want to say anything to the instructor since his grading of the online discussions seems to be subjective to his whim. *sigh* I keep telling myself: "Only 3 more weeks... 3 more weeks."

I guess it has been a while since my last visit.
Blossom Splendor is coming alive and looking so pretty, wonderful progress and your finds looks like you hit the jack pot.
Sorry to hear about school, it will be over soon.
As far as having a spring this year all signs say we will just jump right into summer.
Last month at the Gallery meeting another member told me that this is call "Blackberry Winter". I never heard that expression before, but he said it was the opposite of "Indian Summer". In the spring when winter won't go away. Then a few days after I hear this expression the weather man said that we will probably just go for winter to summer weather.
Hey are you going to the retreat in June???

WOW Snow!!!!! I am going to brag and tell you that our weather is in the 80's for the next few days...lol..............you can send me your snow! You KNOW I love it.

I can't wait to see your mail art; this is something I would love to try at some point in time. I am finding that I am really like being challenged with different projects.

Snow??? Why is the weather so whacked out for everyone? We keep going from cool to hot then hot to cool. Your right the warm weather will be here soon.

Can't wait to see the mailart.

Maybe when this semester finally ends the weather will be done to.

Wow, your instructor really is getting lazier by the minute. Maybe he's sick of the snow too, lol. Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your instructor, can understand why you're so frustrated. Snow eh? It's def spring here in the UK, sun has been shining at last after a very long winter. Look forward to seeing some of your mailart.

I was shocked to see the snow yesterday too! Especially since our flowers started bloomming over the weekend. I will be SO glad when spring finally gets here.

After the semester is over do you guys evaluate your instructors? I would definetly give him a failing grade and hope that you never have to cross his path again.

Rain, rain, go away!!!! PLEASE, for Meari! Let the sun shine in...........lol

Here's hoping that the rest of the week is much better for you Meari. It is going to rain here soon, if it makes you feel any better. :)

So sorry that your getting such horrible weather so late in the year. We have been getting pretty nice weather here. It is going to be in the mid to upper 80's this week. Before long it will be summer & we'll all be complaining about the heat. LOL!!!!

Same assignments? No problem, you will get all A++++. But I see your point, it would be much wiser to buy more stash and have time to stitch some more instead of going through same questions over and over.

Hope for more sunshine for you!

Spring has really arrived here in the UK , Meari. In fact it's more like summer - hopefully this isn't the only summer we're going to have! I hope you'll get some better weather soon!

Lynette

We didn't get snow, we just got TONS of rain! Everything's flooding down here and it hasn't stopped yet. That's rotten about your class. I haven't had that, just a brand new instructor who is going by the EXACT letter of the law!

Snow??? Wow. I love snow only on pictures...lol. Looking forward to see your mailart piece. What a pity that the instructor makes it so easy on himself.

Yesterday, we had a wacky day, hail, snow, white out and rain, then the sunshine came out.

I am sure you can get all A's this time but it is sure wasting your time, however the time will fly.

Sorry to hear about the weather there - perhaps I shouldn't mention that we're getting an amazing April - temperatures in the mid-seventies yesterday :) Going to watch the racing this afternoon - good free entertainment (we don't bet) on our doorstep (apart from icecreams).

Sorry you got the snow. We had little balls of ice but that was it. I was up all night with the dog though because it was thundering.

These last 3 weeks will fly by. It'll be over before you know it!

This is the most depressing spring ever! Sorry to hear you're still getting snow!!

Well, should be an easy A, but I'm sure you'd rather be learning new material. Hope you get to rate this guy at the end of the class!

OOhhh, snow!!! Wish it snows here in Chennai!! The temperature is soaring each day. Had some mild showers today morning though which made the day pleasant :)
Don't worry 3 weeks means just 3 weekends. And you know how fast weekends come and go.
Thanks a ton for your email :)

Hang in there with your school. I love your Blossom Splendor, you have made such great progress. I can't wait to see how much the details stand out after the backstitching is added :o)

Blossom Splendor has been looking fabulous and once this class ends you'll have plenty of stitching time for her. I am with you Meari ~ where is SPRING??? Of course, around mid-July/August we all will be wishing for cooler weather once again. :) Happy Stitching!
