Marvelous Monday Update 5/12/08

School
Wa-Hoo! One class down, one to go. I did my presentation for the Access class, and has show-n-tell for my cross stitch projects. It was great hearing all the ooh's and ahh's along with amazement in regards to the projects I've done. In addition to my Finishes album, I took JG and Pink Carnations in to show. Everyone was SO impressed! :)

Gardening
Yesterday, I took time and removed all the weeds from the flower bed on the side of the house. Mostly, it was full of dandelions.

I bought a dandelion weeder on Saturday. That thing works pretty darn good! I'd seen them before and didn't know what they were used for. Now I do! I can't imagine going around my entire yard digging at dandelions, though!

I found more flowers coming up that I have no idea what they are, but they're pretty.

As I was shopping for a Mother's Day gift for my mom, I picked myself up a few things... the dandelion weeder, a gardening shovel, two hanging baskets, 3 tomato plants, cucumber seeds, and 6 hosta plants. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend?

Freebie
Last week I forgot to post (shame on me!).

It sounds like you're burning up your classes - way to go!!! :)
I hope you had a lovely week-end "greening up" your home. I LOVE the ornament - I could spend a LOT of $$$$ at Silver Needle - good thing I don't live close by there!!! Thanks for the freebies - I always look forward to seeing what you've picked out for us. :)

Hey Sweetie! It seems like forever since I last stopped by, but as life in a deployment goes, I've been up to ears in stuff lately. It looks like you've stayed busy youself. How are you?

Great freebie! I have that one somewhere, but don't have the time to even think about stitching it.

Congrats on the well-deserved oohs and aahs over your stitching in class. I'm glad that you got a chance to show off your talents. :)
