Bird on Blossom

... finally winged it's way to its new home.

I participated in a private mailart exchange with Evalina of This and That. I sent off the envelope over three weeks ago and was becoming worried it would never get there. Finally, I received word from Evalina that she received it!

Here's what I created for Evalina:

Clickable for Larger Photo

Design: Bird on Blossom
from book, A Cross Stitcher's Odyssey
Designer: Joan Elliott
Fabric: 22ct Hardanger, hand-dyed by moi!
Stitched: One over one
Fibers: DMC
Embellishments: LaMode buttons #4537, fabric trim

So now I'm anxiously waiting for hers to get to me :)

Thank you so much Meari, I adore this piece. Can you believe it that I did not notice these beautiful flowers on the back? They were covered with a label! I had a pic this morning and, yes! they are there! I also forgot to mention how much I like the fabric you'd use inside the envelope. It's full of sparkles!

It is so beautiful, can't believe you can actually mail those, or that you would even want to. Scared after putting all that work in it would get ruined.

That is gorgeous!

How did they cancel it? I would almost think they'd have to hand cancel it and I'm hoping that if they did it didn't mess it up in any way.

I am always amazed by what you do in addition to school, homeowning, thriftstoring, etc. This is the nicest mail art I have ever seen. She is truly lucky to have a Meari gift.

Oh I think that's beautiful! I wish I could get something that nice as mail art lol. I did a postcard exchange recently and what I received wasn't what I had expected. But it was very nice. And it is displayed with my others.

Meari,

Your mailart is awesome. How did you do that? You put stamps on fabric to mail? Cute design.

Kathleen :)
