Marvelous Monday Update 11/8/10

Hard to believe by the end of this week, the month will be half over. Where does the time go?

WORK
Had my last annual review at J1 performed by the "old" company which is no longer in existence. My review went OK (i.e. I still have my job, lol). Everyone seems to think I'm in a good place seeing as I am finishing my degree, and the service line I am in is supposed to be having some "good" changes in the upcoming year that they're hoping will affect me in a good way. J2 is the same, and I plan on staying until I can find something else.

SCHOOL
Had a seminar last week in Chicago for J1, which resulted in a 12 1/2 hour day by the time we all arrived back at the office. Then I rushed off to class because I mistakenly thought the instructor was going to do a review for the midterm exam. Instead, he told us how many of each type of question was on the test. :( I was REALLY tired by the time we got to work on our group project. I just wanted to discuss what we had to, and go home. By the end of class I was going on 18 hours and draggin' butt!

Wish me luck on the exam!

CHARLEY
I think I may have mentioned that Charley loves to sit on the keyboard of my laptop. I nudge her off, she walks around the back and comes around the other side to get back on. LOL She must think she's helping me.

"Hmmm... What's going on here?"

"I think I'll get a closer look!"

STITCHY STUFF
Last night was the first time I've stitched in over a week. Progress on a couple of smalls.

Blessed Be

Quaker Snowman

Remember Froggie? He decided to make a visit and stay awhile. I have frogged more on this project than any I can remember recently. I think it's the fabric. I'm not liking it at all!

I'm almost 3/4 done with this one despite the frogging. I just haven't had a chance to take an updated photo.

Just as long as Charley doesn't leave any droppings....
You made more stitching progress than I did.
Best wishes at school & work. 18 hours....hope you got some rest.

Charley is so cute. Much better that a cat trying the same thing, LOL. Good luck with tests and all and hope you have an easier week. Surprised you managed any progress at all on stitching.

Charlie must like how warm the computer is. My kitten is always trying to get on mine.
I am glad that work seems to be going OK for you. Hopefully the good things will come to pass for you.
Your stitching looks great as usual!

Glad you still have J1 and you will soon have your degree. I so understand that J2 is just for now.
Charley is precious!! Going to "hunt and peck" out your work for you.
Your stitching is so amazing!! Can't wait to see the finishes.

Charley sounds like my kitten she loves to walk on the keyboard while I am typing and just sit on the keyboard in general though when she does that she tends to open up some window online. What a long week you had, good to hear the review went well for you. Excellent progress on your stitching!

Maybe you can train Charley to type for you? Dictation to the birdie! Charlie is very cute! Looks like you got some decent stitching in despite the frogs!

Love your "Blessed Be" WIP, Meari. I finished it, too, but ended up giving it away--will have to make one to keep for myself...

Charley is so cute--does she say anything? Best of luck on your exam--I'm sure you'll do great :)

Cute pics of Charley. :) Glad to see that she's fitting right in.

Sorry to hear about your long days and froggy problems. I hope both ease up a bit this week. And good luck with your exam.

Glad the jobs are going well. I know about those really long days with class at the end. They're hard, but worth it in the end (although I know that's difficult to remember sometimes...lol). Charley is so cute. A couple of our cats like to be on the desk when I'm working. They lay down for scratches and it makes it difficult to get any typing done.

good luck with school meari. I know that it can be hard to work and attend school at the same time but I know that you are going to succeed at everything that you do.

Seems like the frog is visiting a lot of us lately. Mine has been here for quite a few days and I think it's time he went back to his pond!

All the best on your exam :) Charley just cracks me up every time. Think it's possible he likes to get on the keyboard because it's warm? Good progress on Blessed Be.

It's the first time I have been able to really read your blog in quite a while. Glad school is going well for you and yes, this month is flying by.
I love the bright colors in Blessed Be. What are you making it into? I am, though, missing the BF blog entries, although I imagine you are a bit tired after J1, J2, and school. How you do it all is beyond me! Thanks for the updates.

Love Charley! Sounds like something my last cat would have done. Only when I'd push him away he'd lightly swat me a love tap back, lol!

Hope the frogs stay away so you can finish this small...
