Oh yes. The fun begins!
Yesterday, I left the keys to the townhouse on the counter (per landlord's request). I am *finally* done there.
I have started unpacking, moving stuff from one room to the next so I can get to *that* box back there, only to move it back so I can get to things in the other room. What fun I'm having now! LOL
I've already had a mishap... I was cleaning under the cooktop of the stove (had to use oven cleaner 3 times!). I used a bucket of water to rinse the rag I was cleaning with. Dumped the entire bucket down the sink drain. Turned on the garbage disposal and at the same time looking around to see where I laid the rag. Yup! It was being eaten by the GD!!! Yikes... (I thought GD was sounding muffled. LOL) After shutting GD off, I fished out a mangled up rag. I'm sure that's not going to be the last time that happens...

Up until last weekend, I was sleeping on my mattress in the middle of the living room. S and I managed to get my bedroom set up, as well as the living room somewhat organized. I'm working on the kitchen... it seems like it's taking forever!
More pics of my house can be seen HERE.

All I can say is "Good Luck!" :)
Are you taking any vacation time to get a chunk of the unpacking done?
Remember, a little at a time and before you know it it you''ll be finished.

The house looks lovely, even with the boxes. I hope you enjoy living there!
You have a lovely looking house. Good luck with all the unpacking.
I've moved at least once every 18 months for the last 11 years - joys of the rental market. Got to the point where I'm very good at moving house. One hard and fast rule is - beds are always set up first. Followed by the kettle, coffee, mugs and some milk.
As long as I have my bed and a hot drink all else can wait.
Hubbys rule is that the stereo system and TV must be set up first so there is sometimes a little clash of priorities. :: double wide grin::
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know it seems like the boxes will never end (and we have boxes in the back hall that have not been opened in four years), but by this time next year you will wonder how you ever lived anywhere else. Next time (not that there will be a next time) you should pack suitcases like you are going on a two week vacation. Then at least you will know where your underwear is.
Isn't it fun to move and try to find everything? You'll find them in time I'm sure. Your new house looks nice. Hope you enjoy it for years to come!
congratulation on your house !! It's so much fun because: EVERYTHING IS YOURS !!!!!!!! yeah !!!!!!
You will find for awhile you are kinda shuffling piles from here to there with very little unpacking or putting up! LOL! Celeste looks so cute and your home is lovely!
Unpacking always takes a long time, just remember that this is YOUR HOUSE and if some boxes sit in a room for a bit its okay. Relax and just do what you can for the time being. Don't forget to take time for yourself (oh and stitch~if you can find it LOL). It will all get done eventually!
Now all the fun really begins. You know it won't be like this forever-it may seem that way. I love the wood floors in your home! Take your time and enjoy-well as much as one can enjoy moving!
so, ummm....did you find your underwear? LOL
Good luck getting everything organized, it does look like you'll be busy for a while. However, it also looks gorgeous, knowing you're working on setting up YOUR house must be wonderful. Congrats on getting the bed set up, that alone should be a wonderful feeling.

LOL Meari, that's moving! Before you know it, you'll have it looking like home, and it will be better than you dreamed! I can't wait to see the final pictures!

Everything will come together. Take your time & enjoy the process!!!
Looks like you are getting things done. I don't envy you the moving AT ALL. I hated every minute of it. Good luck in getting everything situated.
i am totally jealous of your nice sized kitchen! The living room looks cozy, love the floors!
