Since I don't use it for clothes, I decided to make it a bit more user friendly. This is what the inside looked like before I started my latest improvement on "The Homestead":
Ten days later after a trip to Menards, using my new jigsaw, some sanding, primering, painting, and drilling...
Shelf One: The black box is my beading supplies. Beneath that are two storage cases, one with scroll rods and the other with stitchy fabric. The container in front holds my small charts and small albums with photos of the projects I've stitched over the years. To the left are my Jammer cases with my floss on bobbins (You can see it better in the pic below).
Shelf Two: On the left is a container with more stitchy fabric. Beneath it is a container that holds my large charts. Next to it is my full size sewing machine.
On The Floor: Bin with my winter clothing. Against the wall is my electronic typewriter.The best part of these shelves is that they're removeable in the event the closet needs to be used to hang clothes.

Good job! The closet looks much better and now it's functional too. I have Dan do all that for me. I probably could do it but it makes him feel needed I think! LOL!
You are very handy, can you come over to my house, hubby just never gets around to it. LOL Looks nice and organized now.
"Redecoration" is the name of the game for you lately, in more ways than one! This one I like! It looks great. Now try not to add more lovely colors to your person and we'll all be ok!

There was a meet up in WS on Saturday, but we were a tad busy,lol. The next one will be in Oct. I will def be going to that one.

Good job on the closets! We converted all our closets to California Closets, even the coat one in the foyer. We're tall so we have a bar really high so we have two rows of coats...nothing like using all the space to our convenience!

All my charts and kits and fabric and floss are in closet *amid* my clothes:( The search for my 'armoire' is on, but no luck yet.
Great job Meari! Now, how do you feel after you've done all your inventory count? I bet it makes you feel good! I love "unpacking" boxes and I always find completely forgotten things. It makes me feel like "it is Christmas!".
