Yesterday, I received a call from the contractor that the garage door was replaced and the side storm door was installed. Here’s how good he is: Two weeks ago when he installed the other doors, he said he’d bring a different trim piece for the threshold because the one he brought didn’t cover the unstained area of the hardwood floor in the front entryway. Well, he forgot. So, he told me he’d leave the invoice on the counter and call on Saturday to set up a time to bring a trim piece and pick up the check. How great is that? I love my new screen/storm door – so much more solid feeling than the ancient aluminum one I had.
The replaced garage door looks great, but he didn't replace the panels with insulated ones like I had on there. I'm thinking it should be an easy enough DIY project.
There were several comments (hopes) that the house doors and garage door were the only doors needing replaced. I actually have ONE more door that needs replacing: the side door on my garage, LOL. See how bad it is? Right now, it has a homemade door with a padlock on it for which I don't have a key.

Glad to hear the door issues are finally cleared up. I'd think long and hard before replacing that side door or at least give myself some time for the bad memories to fade LOL
Doors look great!! Cut off the padlock & I can bring you a new one with a key for nothing. At least until you get a new door.
Love the new doors Meari! They look WONDERFUL! :)
And just one more door to go...
Meari, I don't know how I've missed your door updates! I've been waiting and waiting and today is the first time I swear that I've seen an update pop up on my blog roll. Anyway, glad you found a better contractor and are happy with him.
I'm going to respond to some other things from past posts also.
Glad you enjoyed the Daughtry concert. He's awesome!
Love to make my own jam, my fave is mulberry. Not sure it will happen this year though as we always made it up at the shack with my aunts help and jam making tools and we won't be going since we sold the shack.
cute little biscornu and great progress on the ABC lessons!
That flower you posted about....my friend in Kentucky has them, can't remember what she called them but she said they spread like a weed. They are beautiful though!!
My hens and chicks never bloomed! I didn't even know they were supposed to. It's a pretty little flower.
Gotta run Gracie to the groomers. Have a great day!
The new doors look really nice!
Glad those three doors are finally 100% fixed!
So glad to hear that you have doors and got the garage door fixed as well. Yikes the side door on the garage looks like ours, SCARY. LOL
Glad #2 was able to get things taken care of your doors.
They look great.
I do have something good to say about #2 .... he could have damaged the garage door and never said anything.
Then you would be trying to figure out what happened to it and trying to fix it.
I would have #2 do the side garage door.
He sounds like a pretty reasonable guy.
Everything looks great Meari!!! Good job!
Hugs, Sue
Looks great!
The doors look great Meari! Is the garage door insulation just those loose panels that you tuck in? If so, could you just have the contractor bring back the ones from the old door?

O, good! All done! And don't you even think about replacing your side door this year... paint them or don't look at them.
Isn't it nice to finally have someone you can trust to do a good job? New doors look great!
Your new doors look great.

Glad you got the doors replaced. If we lived closer to each other I would of sent my husband's friend (mine too) to do the work for you. He's a licensed contractor.
Sounds like you found a good contractor this time around. The new doors look great!
Your new door and garage door really do look great, Meari. Sure wish I had a reliable contractor living near me!
Good to hear all fixed now, Meari and it looks great!
