The President Has To Dress Me

Egads! Today, I made a trip to the post office and mingled amongst various coworkers in the office, and no one… I mean NO ONE took the time to tell me that the flap (think “tag” but only MUCH, MUCH larger) to my suit jacket was sticking out the back of my collar! At 4:30pm, the president of my firm followed me out of his office after I’d dropped off some billings. He was so polite about it, too. He says, “Excuse me, I’m gonna...” and he starts to tuck the flap back in. I was mortified that I walked around the ENTIRE day like that and not one person said a thing.

I'm so sorry. It sure seems like someone could have had the kindness to have said something, I'm sure they would have wanted someone to have said something to them if it had been them in the same situation.

Pity I don't work with you - I am always telling people that they have stuff in their teeth, or that they are being a 'tag dag'!!!
I always do it in the hope that if I am the one, someone will tell me and I won't embarrass the hell out of myself. In the days of BIG earrings, my best friend met the Lord Mayor with only one of the BIG earrings in as she had just been on the phone and had taken it out as it was clanking on the phone handpiece. She also was mortified as it was fairly noticeable with her short hair. Maybe the Lord Mayor thought it was the latest craze of young people to just weare one big earring!! LOL!!!

I hate when people don't tell me stuff like that!

Oh no, I'm so sorry, Meari! I had that happen to me once so I know exactly what you are talking about when you say "the flap". It was very nice of the president to tuck it back in for you. (((Hugs)))
