Winter Wonderland

Yesterday, my area received 6-8" of snow while I was at work. Is winter over yet? No? It's just starting?? Yes, it's beautiful... if you don't have to drive in it.

Today, I spent a couple hours walking through the new powder and captured the beauty of it all. Here's "Bob". He greets you as you enter the nature preserve.

Doesn't he look pleased with all the snowy whiteness?

Beautiful pictures!!

You got what we did not get this time. We only got 2 inches this time. Last weekend we had 9.

Oh, I am so jealous! We have NOTHING on the ground, except dead grass and mud. :-( My columbines are still putting on new greenery even!

We tend to get snow in January and February, so I've got fingers (and toes, and hair, and anything else...) crossed that we'll get at least one decent ground-covering snowfall. I'm not really counting on it, but I'm hopeful.

*sigh*

Oooh that is beautiful!

We are starting to move into our peak summer months here and it is so lovely to see pictures of snow. I feel a bit cooler just looking at them.

The pictures are beautiful and I love seeing pics of snow without having to actually deal with it. I'll take the Texas rain over the snow anyday. LOL

Beautiful pictures, and Bob made a wonderful greeter. Fresh fallen snow is so pretty. I totally agree with your comment about not having to drive in it though.
